Job Responsibilities:
Job Scope
Issues and ensures the proper execution of well completion and wireline operations programmes. Ensures the optimum utilisation of the contracted wireline units. Liaise with wireline contractors and assists in administering the wireline contracts. Supervises the redress of completion equipment at local work-shop. Performs field supervision of operations described above.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Checks and confirms the wells completion programmes optimizing usage of completion items and wireline operations.
* Evaluates new completion and wireline techniques introduced to the operations and assists in the technical evaluation of completion equipment enquiries whenever feasible.
* Analyses and trouble-shoots completion and wireline operations problems. Recommends solutions and alternatives.
* Updates the standard completions designs, the standard completion manual, the wireline manual and related equipment requirements. Sets priorities for special investigations and studies.
* Studies general drilling plans and develops required completion and wireline procedures for each well to be completed or worked over liaison with the Drilling Engineers.
* Discusses with Wireline Service Companies/Clients representatives work related problems, development and use of wireline tools, support equipment and techniques to cope with operational requirements.
Job Requirements:
* B.Sc in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical or relevant Engineering discipline
* At least 10 years experience in Drilling and Workover Engineer. Including four years experience in Drilling Planning and good knowledge of budgeting and financial matters
* Good knowledge of computer application
* Very good knowledge in English with strong communications and interpersonal skills
